Three Ninjas Kick Back from SNES
Do you still have an SNES (Super Nintendo Entertainment System)? Do you own the game 3 Ninjas Kick Back, and if so are the different stages of the game still giving you trouble? Well not to fear, because help is on the way.
3 Ninjas Kick back for SNES is a video game about 3 young boys (Colt, Rocky, and Tum-Tum) that try to help an old Samurai Warrior find his stolen dagger. This dagger is one of the rewards received by the old man in his younger days. While learning Karate and Ninjitsu these young boys fight the forces of evil to return the dagger back to its rightful owner. While these three boys are young, they quickly master the deadly arts and begin their quest to find the stolen dagger. This game based off the movie has the same title.
First off, for you people that have never heard of the game, let us talk about how the controls work. The controls are very simple and very standard. As with most video game consoles, the D pad is usually located to the left of the controller, and is normally used to move your character with your left thumbs. The other buttons are usually marked with letters or symbols; each letter does something different, so if you are not sure what each button does look it up in the owner’s manual that came with the game.
After you have learned the buttons, the game gets simpler. Level one has 4 different zones. Zone one starts out in the woods, and to get through it you must try to stay to the right and watch for boulders on your left. Try to avoid the boulders at all cost and remember that slow and steady wins the race in this case. Ease your way up to the boulder then run back, avoid falling rocks, avoid spikes by swinging on vines, open every box you see, and leap over everything else you see to reach the Hillside (Zone 2). Once there at the risk of being cheesy just hold down attack while sliding and avoid jumping into the fire to reach zone three, the training grounds. All you do here is simply avoid boulders, punch out dummies and climb a rope, then reach zone four, better known as the cabin. This area is just as simple as the rest; avoid boulders, and do not lag behind, do not go too far ahead and avoid anything in your way until level two is reached.
Level two has two zones, the first of which (Mori’s Cabin) consist of the same things; avoiding things and climbing ladders. However, in this zone avoid traveling under your enemies that are above you because they throw pots. After you grab the back pack towards the end, set the hostages free and defeat the thug, be sure to grab his keys, and then go through the trap door at the bottom of the ladder to enter the secret cave or zone 2. Zone 2 is where it gets fun. Attack anything that moves in this area, avoid the holes of fire, and once you make it to the hole it gets a bit difficult. Your timing will have to be great when jumping from block to block. Watch out for boulders, climb the ladder and Level three will be there waiting for you at the top.
There are several levels to this game; five in all to be exact. Moreover, if you are as most gamers you really do not want to waste all your time fighting, jumping, dodging rock and traps, in order to have the pleasure of saying “yeah I did it”. Well by entering, these codes will unlock some fun stuff for you as you fight your way through the game to your destiny. By entering these passwords: Cult, Rocky, Mori Shintaro and TumTum, you will unlock the second level. Dump guy, Blonde hair guy, Mori Shintaro and Glasses guy will get you the keys to the third. Rocky, Cult, Koga, and TumTum will open the fourth. For the final level, your password will be Mori Shintaro, Cult, Koga, and TumTum.
Although this game is considered retro by today’s standards of gaming, 3 Ninjas kick back for the SNES is overall just your basic two-dimensional button masher, and do not expect too much from the graphics either. While jumping, dodging rocks, and beating up bad guys can be fun, most critics agree that you should rent it before you buy it.
