1080 Snowboarding from Nintendo 64

1080 snowboarding for Nintendo 64 ranks high among the greats as far as snowboarding games go.  The look and feel of this game is a spectacular thrill ride. This game allows the user the ability to create astounding tricks and combos.  It also has amazing tracks you will have the time of your life going downhill at speed that will scare the pants off anybody.

Visually the 1080 has a lot to offer, with its realistic looking half pipes and downhill tracks, the backgrounds are visually stunning, along with the tracks. The tracks are stylish and feature background elements 9such as dense fog, thick rich snow, and realistic ice and snow effects that in some cases actually depict it snowing onscreen.  Not only is this games effect great, but the scenery lacks nothing.  From its clear skies and warm Mountain View, the attention to detail in 1080 snowboarding is to say the least amazing. Even though the scenery and landscape is amazing, the best part of the game is the feeling you get when you are going downhill or catching some air on the pipe.  In some cases, it is as if you are there.  The feeling of speed is jaw dropping the only thing missing is the cold on your face as the elements of the tracks whip by.

The Controls are difficult to get used to but that is all part of the challenge and fun of this game.  The physical elements of this game and its cast of characters are solid. After you have given up on trying completing the game without any help well here are a few codes that just may help along the way.

As in most games, there are locked stages, levels, characters, and abilities that are fun to unlock.  Most un-lockable items require you to complete most matches on a certain level for instance to unlock Deadly Fall; the match race must be beaten on expert mode. to unlock tricks visit training mode select a boarder start an easy trick, open the menu before landing scroll to a locked trick, by the time you land the computer will have counted you as having completed the trick from the list.  To gain access to Gold Boarder use ice boarder to pass expert mode followed by going to Hensuke Kimachi pressing up C then tapping A. by Complete Expert completing expert mode then go to Akari followed by up-C, to receive this transparent snowboarder named Ice Boarder.  You will receive Panda Boarder by knocking out all the best times and scores in trick attacks and time attacks followed by earning all three high scores in contest mode, after you have completed all this highlight Rob Haywood hold Right C and press A.  Penguin Board is simple to unlock.  Successfully complete all 24 tricks in a single training session, afterwards select board “Tahoe 151” and hold down-c.

After you have un-locked all that there is, try working on a few secrets that will help you increase your speed.  When the countdown begins tap your thumb stick like crazy, you will find that jumping out in front of the pack will be a breeze.  You can also be a video game Disk Jockey when after select the half pipe trick attack, then choose replay.  As the replay music, starts use your move your control stick to scratch records in middle of the music

There are some glitches have been discovered in this game for instance try running a race they just as you about to cross the finish line press pause followed by retire, and watch your rider hit the wall in the rear of the finish line. The glitch is that after doing so your character will get up and continue to ride into the wall.  It is believed that deadly falls is the best level to try this on.

If you still have a Nintendo 64 chances are that you play this game even still to this day.  1080 Snowboarding is one of the best snowboarding games of its time. The innovations of the controls are some of the most involved in any snowboard racing games.  Gamers can agree that while crouching makes your turns tight, or looking out for onscreen trees may slow you down overall the graphics the graphics and the realism are a dream.  The beauty of this game along with the death-defying tricks throughout this game help to make it the best snowboarding game to ever grace the Nintendo 64.
