Patapon for PSP is only the coolest rhythm game on the market and its popularity is a tribute to just how much fun people are having playing it. The controls for this game are unlike many belonging to other games because they are rhythm based. This makes the game exceptionally pleasing to those of us who can keep a beat or carry a tune, but for those who are rhythm challenged…..well, all I can say is practice makes perfect.

With the Patapon games, you are a unique character because the Patapon tribe considers you to be a god that showed up just when needed the most. They have been chased from their home by the evil Zigatons and need you to become their leader and help them. They are good fighters but this tribe does nothing without being told by their new god…..You.
Not only do they want you to help them get their land back they want to be taken to a strange location known as Earthend so they can see the ‘It’. The ‘It’ is a sacred object to the tribe and only You can lead them to the secret location so get ready for some fun. If you have no game cheats at the very beginning, just start out with lots of experimenting as you would in other games.
The way that you interact with the Patapon tribe is by using the 4 battle drums that are controlled by the PSP face buttons. Each order is given by a particular beat of the drums using 4 notes in a distinct pattern. This means that you have a different rhythm to learn for orders like charge, defend, advance, retreat, and attack. You also have extra power and you can create winds, earthquakes and other great weather phenomena when you need to.
There are over 30 different adventure levels for you to enjoy in this game and you will have plenty of opportunities to battle bosses and conduct hunts. The hunts are similar to the plundering in other role-playing games and game cheats will definitely help you get to the higher levels faster. The first few levels are pretty easy and if you have been playing a lot of strategy games you should be in good shape at the beginning.
There are many strange and unusual animals and people that live in this new world and you will meet them as you set out to find the items that you will need to get to higher levels. Most of these creatures will not harm you, but there are some that are not as friendly. Battles are also included, and when you battle the Zigatons you might capture one of their bases, but you always get to keep any of their gear when you defeat them.
One of the more exciting and difficult plays involves the boss attacks. You have to learn the patterns and commit them to memory in order to direct your Patapons correctly. Once you have the pattern you can successfully order your new tribe and they will defeat the boss. Some of the bosses are giant sea creatures, man-eating plants, or dinosaurs and each one is different in the way it attacks your group. Once you beat a boss these games gives you the choice of repeating the challenge, but be careful because if you do the pattern will be more difficult and winning will be harder to do.
As you lead your tribe to Earthend, you will be joined by different groups of fighters with strange names. These are cavalry, spear throwers, archers, soldiers, and musicians who will come along to help you in your battles. Depending on the group’s size, you will be limited to which ones you can take on a mission, so you need to become familiar with their abilities. The musicians are way cool because their big tubas send out deadly weapons in the form of fast projectiles that will attack the enemy.
Game cheats abound for this game and you can find dozens of them online. Patapon is challenging but you will find many easy games cheats on your own without even trying. There are some mini games that you will be able to unlock with the correct rhythms and these give you some valuable powers and resources.
Your Patapon tribe members do resemble eyes with arms and legs, but as you use game cheats you make your tribe stronger and faster and these black and white orbs change colors and even begin to wear some really strange helmets of their own. The amazing thing about your eyeball tribe is that no two will ever look alike.
